Where Is The Biggest Roundabout Located

We always been exaggerated when talk about biggest things that happened in this world. Biggest stadium, biggest car, biggest fish, etc. Most country do have their own significant biggest things such as India that have world biggest stadium capacity, China PR have biggest fortified palace wall and also Syria that hosted the biggest restaurant in the world. Too many biggest things that existed nowadays and now lets talk on which country has the biggest roundabout in this modern world.

Where Is The Biggest Roundabout Located?

Putrajaya, the new administration city of Malaysia was officially open in 2001 had become a new landmark of Malaysia. Replacing former Kuala Lumpur that now had been too cramp. In this modern city, you can find bunch of unique-building design, super large road, home of most government servants including the prime minister and a lot of public parks!

The roundabout was located at the heart of Putrajaya. It serves thousands cars per day and play a very important roles when there have 15 exits in total with 3.4 km (~2.11 miles) total length. This roundabout was fully equipped with 3 vehicle lane plus 1 extra lane for public city buses and another 1 lane for bicycle. The construction was start on year 1997 to 1999, took almost 2 years to its completion.

Any Other Bigger Roundabout?

However, there were a claimed made from other countries before Putrajaya gets this title. This country claimed that they do already build a roundabout which has 3.5km (~2.17 miles) length in total. It was located at The Savannah, Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago. But the claimed was not valid as the roundabout that they mentioned were not in rounded shape at all!
